Ginzan Onsen is located in the prefecture of Yamagata. These Onsen motels were built during the Taisho and Showa period. Formerly, there were wooden houses, but they were destroyed by the flood in 1923. Instead, buildings of 4 floors were built in the style of Western architecture.
Walking the streets of Ginzan Onsen is a real journey through time. During spring, the cherry trees are covered in flowers. In summer, the passages are wrapped in a spectacular yellow and orange gradient. But without a doubt, it is in winter where the lighting creates an amazing atmosphere.
Currently, there are 12 motels in Ginzan Onsen. 10 of them do not require spending the night to enjoy the hot springs and 5 of them offer outdoor bath. The cost is about 500 to 600 yen. The entrance is prescribed to a previous admission of the tenants.
A wonderful place with no doubt, creditor of an exquisite historical context and beautiful structures. Like this, there are plenty of places in the world to visit, just hurry up!
